Duct Tape & Paracord: The Universal Repair Kit
If you can’t fix it with duct tape or paracord, it’s probably not worth fixing. These two items are the “connective tissue” of preparedness. One provides structural adhesion, while the other provides incredible tensile strength.
1. The Tape: Gorilla Tape vs. T-Rex
Forget the cheap silver tape from the grocery store. For survival, you need “High-Tack” tape that sticks to wood, stone, and wet surfaces.
- Gorilla Tape (Black): Thicker adhesive than standard tape. It can patch a leaking tent or even a cracked water jug.
- T-Rex Brute Force: So strong it requires a knife to cut. It can hold up to 700 lbs and is designed for extreme weather.
2. The Cordage: 550 Paracord
Genuine Type III 550 Paracord contains 7 inner strands. These can be removed and used as fishing line, sewing thread, or dental floss.
The “Titan SurvivorCord” Upgrade
If you want the best, Titan SurvivorCord includes a strands of waxed jute (fire starter), brass wire (snares), and 25lb fishing line woven directly into the core.
