Jase Case vs. Duration Health: How to legally buy emergency antibiotics

The most dangerous gap in a standard First Aid Kit is the lack of prescription medication. You can bandage a wound, but if it gets infected during a grid-down scenario, you cannot treat it with over-the-counter creams.

Until recently, it was impossible to get antibiotics like Amoxicillin or Cipro without being currently sick. Now, telehealth companies like Jase Medical and Duration Health allow you to consult with a doctor online and receive a legally prescribed “Emergency Kit” for travel or disaster prep.

Both services are legal, US-based telehealth providers.

Kits include Amoxicillin, Azithromycin, Cipro, Doxycycline, etc.

Shelf life is typically 2 to 5 years (if stored cool).

The “One-Click” Solution: Jase Medical

The Jase Case is the industry standard. It is a pre-set pack of 5 specific antibiotics designed to treat the most common bacterial infections (pneumonia, bite wounds, UTIs, and anthrax exposure).

Pros: Flat pricing. Simple process (fill out a form, get approved, ship). Includes a comprehensive guidebook on dosage.

Cons: Less customization. You get the standard 5 meds, period.

The “Custom” Solution: Duration Health

Duration Health offers a more tailored experience. During your consultation, you can ask to add specific medications like EpiPens, Zofran (nausea), or Prednisone (steroids) to your kit.

Pros: Highly customizable. You can build a kit that fits your specific medical history.

Cons: More expensive. The base fee is higher, and add-ons increase the price quickly.

A Note on Stewardship

These medications are not candy. Taking antibiotics for a virus (like the Flu or COVID) does nothing and creates drug-resistant bacteria.
You must read the included guidebooks and only use these medications when professional medical help is absolutely unavailable.
